Provides you with access to common file operations for creating new projects, opening existing projects, or exploring the program.

Setting	Description
New File	Opens the Create New Project dialog box , which is used to create and open an empty STAAD Foundation Advanced project.
Open File	Opens the Open Project dialog box , which is used to open an existing STAAD Foundation Advanced project.
General Mode	Starts a new General Foundation project. Same as selecting File > New > General Setup.
Plant Mode	Starts a new Plant Foundation project. Same as selecting File > New > Plant Setup.
Toolkit Mode	Starts a new Foundation Toolkit project. Same as selecting File > New > Toolkit Setup.
Examples	Opens the Open Project dialog box with STAAD Foundation Advanced Examples folder loading in the browsing section.
Tutorial	Opens the STAAD Foundation Advanced Tutorials page in your default Web browser.
Help	Opens the Help window to display STAAD Foundation Advanced's Table of Contents
RSS feed	Displays a list of Bentley news items relating to STAAD Foundation Advanced. Here you can find news regarding training opportunities, program updates, and news items important to STAAD Foundation Advanced users. Clicking an item listed in the feed will open the related article in your default Web browser.
